A little piece of England
A little piece of England in the South Pacific. Designed in the tradition of the garden city, Christchurch plays host to many characteristics of an old English town, with lots of public gardens and parks, a quaint tramway and even it's own River Avon twisting itself through the city.

There are many places of interest in this city, ranging from strolling around Hagley Park, soaking up culture at the spectacular Christchurch Art Gallery to spending your cash at the Arts Centre on traditional Maori bone carvings or fudge. And it rains quite often. A beautiful city in a beautiful country.
