Hawkes Bay has many wineries scattered around the region and you can sit down and eat (as well as drink!) at most of them. One in particular stands out for me and thats Sileni Estates. Nestled in rural Hastings its a gem of a restaurant to have as your local. Chefs use seasonal produce to conjure up the most amazing, succulent dishes and of course you can sample their award-winning wines. Downstairs is a shop where you can buy everything from local wine and cheese to mouthwatering products from France, Italy and Australia. Of course they have your usual wine tasting tours which is a day out in itself but the restaurant is not to be missed!
