Small and smoky
Baguio's pine trees have mostly been chopped down and replaced by unregulated homeowners who try to outbuild their neighbours in terms of height. What little cold air that remains in Baguio is now mixed with smoke fuming out of jeeps and old vehicles (as if Manila had annexed Baguio).

This city is small and you can pretty much drive through all major points and interests in a day unless, of course, you decide to stop and explore places like Session Road (downtown Baguio), climb/pray the steps of The Grotto and enjoy the activities in Burnham Park. Camp John Hay and Teacher's Camp don’t seem to have changed and are still quite nice, although horses are now rare and the temperature has risen. Philippine national artist Ben Cabrera's Tam-Awan village is where artists hang out and you can rent one of the huts for the night.
