The apartments were lovely - warm, welcoming, spotlessly clean and equipped with every home-comfort we could possibly ask for, including: well-equipped kitchens, sauna, jacuzzi, PCs with internet access, flat-screen tvs, satellite, under-floor heating etc.

The location couldn't have been better for us, in a nice, quiet area about half way between the old market square and the the Jewish quarter (Kazimierz), so we were within walking distance of all the main attractions.

Our host, Pawel, was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us some excellent tips on good bars and restaurants. All his recommendations were spot on. Krakow is an enchanting city. The hostel has a comfortable, homely feel, it is bright and airy and spotlessly clean. Reception is manned on a 24 hour basis, the staff are extremely friendly, so don't hesitate to ask them the best places to eat and most interesting places to visit.

Something about Hostel Cracow seems to appeal to everyone; backpackers, elderly couples and families. I must start with the breakfast room, with its walls full of tableaux, tasteful bric-a-bric, with the whiff of a bohemian salon has more character and imagination than a thousand chain or 'specialty' hotels. They lay the table with lace cloths specially for you - none of this pile 'em high buffet nonsense - and bring fresh juice and coffee and the meats and cheeses are delectable.
If there was a failing, it was that my single room was too cramped (perhaps the old detention chambers) and the noises of early breakfast begin to echo around the building around 7am. The rooms are clean, plain and comfortable. The hostel is one of the few in Krakow that offers single, private rooms. Bursa Jagiellonska has its own laundry machines, free internet access in each room and computers in the common area. Well located, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, large, well-equipped kitchen with every appliance, satelite TV, dvd, internet, inclusive of beautiful bed linen and fluffy towels. It has two large bedrooms, huge kitchen, large sitting room with two sofa beds and luxury bathroom.

The website is a bit basic, but don't let that put you off. The staff are very friendly, speak excellent English, and can also help with organising trips to Auchwitz and the Salt Mines if you want a chauffered trip (warning - the price is a lot higher than the public tours, but you're paying for a personalised service).

They also pick you up from the airport (5 euros per car) and take you to the apartment which takes all the stress out of getting to your accomodation. They also provided us with maps etc.

I just wanted to say that we had a great time in Krakow, the apartment was actually much nicer than the photos on the website and was of a very good standard. The presentation was excellent, it had everything we needed. Also the service was impeccable.

I must admit that initially we were a bit reluctant to rent this apartment, as we thought that it was too far from the old town square, but the location turned out to be perfect, with virtually all major Krakow attractions within easy reach.

I strongly recommend a visit to Japanese Art and Technology which is just five minutes' walk away from the apartment and the Skalka monastery with beautiful gardens, which is just across the road.

Overall my experience with them was throughly enjoyable and I had a good laugh with the staff at their office when I went to pay, who were friendly and courteous.

They offer first-rate service at very decent prices. They are very fast to respond and they provide very efficient service. KHA even organised airport transfer for me and my family.
