Quite simply, this is an extraordinary place housed inside a medieval tower started by a Californian multimedia artist who's lived for more than 20 years in Europe and his Polish chef who spent five years in London learning to make a wide variety of exotic dishes and his own inventive masterpieces. Together they offer the best burritos in the city, authentic tasting Thai soups, Tikka Masala, Tajin Couscous and delicious fusion dishes such as salmon with sausage and parmesan chicken. They also play global music that is rarely heard anywhere else.

Spiz is a pub on the corner of the Rynek market square. It is a microbrewery serving the best beer in Wroclaw, perhaps even Poland. Plus you also get a free bread and smalec (dripping).
I found Wroclaw to be a very romantic city where you can always see couples wandering the streets. I always enjoyed meandering around the beautiful old town and relaxing in the park overlooking the cathedral.
Spiz is on the corner of the Rynek facing the flower market (Plac Solny).
Still relatively undiscovered in comparison with Krakow. Take the slow train from Warsaw and arrive several hours later having passed through gentle central polish landscapes.
The city itself has an exhilarating buzz and is great for simply walking around the Rynek (central square) or along the river Odra.
So many historic buildings remind you of the citys traumatic past, but one stand out attraction is the Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice depicting the victorious peoples militia overcoming Russian invaders, before the third partition of Poland.
Everyone should try the Zurek soup... they serve it IN a loaf of bread and it is to die for. I think I might be obsessed with it having just had it every day for the last four days.
Underneath the Ratusz on the Rynek (main square) ... Apparently it's the oldest restaurant in Europe! Ooooooh!
Novocaina is a traditional Italian restaurant, newly opened in the heart of Wroclaw's market square.
It's a unique experience; a balance between outstanding tradtional cuisine and a stylish contemporary approach to interior design... not so modern in style... you can find there a mixture of Baroque and Art Nouveau, simply feel the rhythm of wood, brass, patina gold and the majesty of claret filling the view.
All the flavours are a link between fully organic ingredients, ancient recipies, hard work and passion. Created in a tradtional sandstone stove eg. pizza rustica.
The menu is quite colorful, still growing and changing the flavours, love the pasta menu... a dinner menu for 2 (with wine and drinks) is about £20-30, a pint of beer is only £1 !!! A really rich selection of drinks and cocktails (cheap as well)... my favourite NOVOCAINA (whiskey, amaretto, espresso, cream).
A place for people who love Italian cuisine, great ambience with a hint of chillout and lounge music... it's a fab place to be, to meet and to enjoy...
