This stunning coastal resort is only a short hop from Lisbon. The beautiful architecture resembles fairy tale castles much of the time and really brought out the little girl in me! Come here and you'll find plenty to do, from sailing to lazing on the beach, to shopping in the market or the many boutiques along the cobbled pathways. The chain stores are mainly corraled in the mall, leaving the high streets to more individual shops. Take a walk along the coast up to the Boca de Diablo and enjoy the sensational views, and carry on to the lighthouse for some sensational sunsets. There are some great traditional Portuguese seafood restaurants here too.
