Take care when booking with Only Apartments

We booked a place with Only Apartments in September this year and it was awful. The place was old and the build quality amateurish; I almost knocked the breakfast bar over when I bumped into it, and the toilet was precariously placed on a ledge between the shower and the sink. We were told we might have to occasionally reset the boiler before having a shower, but this was a frequent issue throughout our stay.

The attitude of the company afterwards was that everything must have been OK if we did not contact them at the time. When booking apartments generally, you should ask up front what the procedures are if anything goes wrong. Pictures are sometimes misleading as well, and I would advise you to have a good look at the place before parting with your cash.

Charming little one bedroom attic flat in centre of Lisbon. Located in the historic Lapa neighborhood within walking distance of all main tourist sights. Good selection of local cafes and restaurants in the area. I spent four nights here this summer and it was much nicer and better value than a hotel. A great base for spending some time exploring this beautiful city.

I travel a lot and I like to stay in hostels, because you usually get better quality in a nice hostel than in a cheap hotel. Truly one of the best hostels in Europe is the Lisbon Lounge Hostel.
Stunning, stylish. Everything is brand new and you’ll enjoy your stay the most. Check the pictures and you'll see I'm not overstating!

First of all, their friendly English and Portuguese speaking staff make your trip seamless through the country if you take one of their well-planned guided tours (and Portuguese is not an easy language).

They also make it so easy for someone to go on their own down the coast. It's really a joy when you can roll through the countryside with just a map and bike knowing your hotel and restaurant staff are literally waiting for you! Bluecoastbikes' staff also took care of our dinner and hotel reservations too.

Their staff took care of everything for us, even calling midweek to see how we were enjoying everything!

Bluecoastbikes is the way to go for biking in Portugal if you want to enjoy your trip and worry about nothing but the ride and the wines to choose!

They are licensed and insured. They have daily rentals and dropoffs, week-long guided and self-guided tours, and jeep rides/tours as well.

Highly recommended.

Quite simply, the best hotel I've ever stayed in - and I've stayed in some good hotels in my time.

The standard room we stayed in was laid out like a mini-apartment: an entrance hall with mini-bar and tea/coffee facilities; bathroom and bedroom both off this little hall. The bathroom was well kitted out and there were slippers and robes for both of us. The bed was huge! We have a super-kingsize bed at home and this bed dwarfed it.

The hotel facilities are great and the service is impeccable. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had booked a room-only rate but upon arrival were told that breakfast was included. There is a free port table where you can sample port and the cherry liqueur, ginghina, and there are a number of board games available for you to play in the lounge area.

We felt instantly at home here and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very close to the action and with a tiny park in front - used by winos, but the police station is next door. On the bus route to the airport and close to the central station. Very reasonably priced. A real snip!
