Open your mind
This rejuvenated city has an astonishing wealth of history and culture to be seen. It is a truly beautiful city which provides a Parisian coffee scene combined with the exuberant nightlife of London (though Belgrade offers a far more sober party life). People regularly drink coffee along the main streets in cafes until the early hours of the morning at which time the elderly would probably feel safe walking alone.

Unfortunately this country has fallen victim to extremely bad press, blinding people of the fact that a nation's people cannot be held responsible for factions of their army. The people are brilliantly friendly and inviting. Although they can rarely speak English (this is changing with the younger generations), they always try their best to communicate.

I sing Belgrade's praises to such an extent in order to overcome the stigma attached to this jewel of a city, and country. It really would be foolish not to visit a place with such merit.
