Slovakia
I picked up a great map for free in one of the tourist offices but I think you can order it from the Czech cartographer company SHOCart.
It's called 'Slovensko Kemping, Termalne Kupaliska' which means 'Camping and Thermal Pools in Slovakia'. It details every pool and campsite in the country and is very useful and inspiring for planning a trip.
Great price, period look and very central.
Me and my girlfriend spent a wonderfull weekend in the Venturska Residence. It is a really nice apartment house located literally in the heart of the Old Town with major city attractions. The apartment was newly refurbished and clean and had everything from a dishwasher to free internet access. Also the hosts were nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this property to all kinds of travellers. And the price there was half the rate for the hotel room in downtown Bratislava.

I stayed in this holiday studio in the Old Town. Nice and clean, fully fitted kitchette, air-conditioning and a large patio. Also, the landlord was very friendly and helpful in meeting us late at night. Will absolutely recommend it for other people.

Bratislava-apartments.com offers a cheap but chic alternative to staying in a hotel and is a great way to experience Bratislava. The apartment we stayed in was well furnished and comfortable, complete with a fully equipped kitchen (great for rustling up some of the fantastic Slovakian fare purchased in local shops), washing machine, cable TV, DVD player and stereo plus internet access with laptop. There were only two of us but the apartment could easily sleep up to four people.
There may not have been a swimming pool or 24hr room service but we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome; we were greeted on arrival to the apartment, the heating was already on (a bonus when temperatures reach -2) and basic food items such as bread and milk were provided.
At 68 euros (£47) per night the apartment was an inexpensive alternative to hotels. We're already placing our booking for next year!
We found 'Apartment Blue' in Heydukova Street through this company. Our booking was processed quickly and courteously and everything was as described.
The apartment was newly renovated, spotless and well equipped, in a quiet and safe, if somewhat unprepossessing, area just 5 minutes walk from the historic centre of this lovely city, once the capital of the Hungarian Empire.
Well worth visiting before it gets spoilt by lager louts (I hope it won't be).
Bratislava Apartments offer a top quality alternative to hotels in the very centre of Bratislava. €68 per night.
