    Barcelona

Posted by rarasan 3 July 2009

This city is hard to beat. It doesn´t cost the earth to get there (I just paid taxes), the weather´s great and for a foodie like me it is heaven, especially if you like seafood. Try Taller de Tapas on Rambla de Catalunya for lunch or Can Sole in the Born. Found this flat on IveBeenThere- renovated Art Deco place with a garden 5 minutes from the Gaudi houses on Passeg de Gracia

Fab flat in the centre of Barcelona with a garden which I found while searching on google. The owners have kept all the original features like the mosaic tiles so you really get into the atmosphere. We had a great stay- perfect for trying out all the restaurants in town.

    Barcelona Pillow Apartments

Posted by markoflynn 9 February 2009

My wife and baby daughter found the perfect gem of a place to stay in Barcelona - a boutique apartment instead of a boutique hotel. Felt like our own private suite, with magnificent views of the port, great for sunset drinks! I think the website has various places for short term rents. Owner manager was a very friendly Italian (gay of course, hence so well managed!)

    Self-catering

Posted by cmbarc 2 February 2009

For the first time ever, my husband and two kids decided to try a self-catering apartment recently on a trip to Barcelona. I was worried it wouldn't seem like a holiday if we were having to shop and do the washing up etc. However it was excellent, and with two small young children it was easier than being in a hotel. With our own space we were far more relaxed and we saved a fortune on our food bills.
    The apartment was gorgeous too!
The company we booked through were very helpful and ensured everything went without a hitch. Will be going self-catering again in the future.

    Way to Stay

Posted by keithstalbans 21 October 2008

Way to stay is an online booking agency with apartments all over Europe. I booked a self-catering apartment in Barcelona recently and received a 25% low season discount. Being able to enjoy a freshly prepared meal is a real benefit of staying in this kind of accommodation.

We were going to get a hotel, but a friend recommended we try a short term apartment rental instead, and it was great! Very nice apartment, had a flatscreen TV, and was great to relax in after a day pounding the streets (you walk everywhere in Barcelona!). Wholeheartedly recommend this company.

I booked a holiday apartment in the centre of Barcelona, just off Las Ramblas with this company. They picked us up at the airport and took us straight to our beautiful apartment, which was a great base for exploring Barcelona and really made our holiday.

    BCN Rentals

    Posted by djb77 27 May 2008

My family and I stayed in an apartment last month with a company called BCN Rentals, and I wanted to recommend them. They were very easy to deal with over the phone (English staff) and email, the apartments were clean and central, and they also organised a minivan to collect us as we had a fair bit of luggage.

    Pillowapartments

    Posted by Judith05 27 May 2008

I rented an apartment with Pillowapartments on Paseo Joan De Borbón for four weeks in March 2008. The apartment was wonderful, everything first rate. Many things were within walking distance and the metro is the best for access to all other areas. I spent most of my time in the museums and wandering the beautiful neighborhoods around the museums.

A typical market is steps away from the apartment as are numerous fine cafes. The city’s best shopping areas are just blocks away. I found an Asian market within blocks for great vegetarian food. The internet place on the street was great since I left my laptop at home, even though the apartment is wired for access. I can't say enough about management, everyone was so nice to me and so helpful. I will not hesitate to stay again when I come to Barcelona and highly recommend pillowapartments to everyone.

    Ciutat Vella-B apartment

Posted by MarkieboyUK 17 April 2008

This is a lovely, clean, airy apartment around 5-10 minutes from Las Ramblas.

It sleeps 2-4 people comfortably and has very good facilities and is also very secure.

The nearest Metro station is Liceu.

There are numerous places to eat in close proximity to the apartment, all of which are excellent and outstanding value.

Ramon, the owner of the property, was a lovely guy and a real pleasure to do business with.

I fully intend on staying at this apartment again when I next visit Barcelona and cannot think of a reason why I would want to stay anywhere else!

We chanced upon this gorgeous apartment in the central Born area. Initially we were looking for the boutique hotel experience, but found this to be a much more exclusive, original and affordable option.

Very nice shopping on the Paseo de Borne, we loved Custo Barcelona, and The Mix is a great cocktail lounge bar nearby!

Really nice two-bedroom apartment with sofabed and balcony, beside the Sant Antoni food market, a walk into Raval. Bars recommended on Joaquim Costa street for a hipster bar crawl - Benidorm, Betty Fords, etc.

This place is super central and the best price/quality of any apartment you'll find in Barcelona.

    The Borne Flat

    Posted by rsl123 7 May 2007

We had a brilliant time in this great one bed flat with two rooftop terraces with great views over the city. Situated on a lovely and quiet pedestrian street in the Borne area, just a minute from the Picasso museum and Citudella Park and right opposite the very cool Bar Casa Paco, as recommended by DJ Cristian Vogel. Lift, aircon, CD player etc etc.

I found a Barcelona's rent room service without advance payment. Most agencies you must pay 20% when you are booking but Barcelona1000rooms admit rent rooms or apartments paying cash on arrival. The best way to avoid a wrong choice!.

My friend booked that Tangerine dream apt. in Barcelona. When they got to Plaza Real there was a big banner on the balcony with a cheaper price on it - they had paid the Cocoon agency extra in "fees".. oops.

    Cocoon Barcelona

Posted by Claudip 29 March 2007

For people interested in individual accomodations of high quality and good prices...I stayed twice with them (in apartment Tangerine Dream located at the 19th century Plaza Real with palm trees, we had the most beutiful view) and was really satisfied with the friendly service. These apartments are fine selected, they are nice, the furniture modern and cosy and they have the most beautiful terrace and balconies of Barcelona...it's important when you stay in place like this...
    I highly recommend this agency.

    Group Apartment Muntaner

Posted by SpainTripper 28 July 2006

It's a huge apartment in Barcelona city centre where 21 people can stay, and it's not just a floor with a lot of bunk beds! No, it's a classic apartment, decorated in baroque style. All the rooms have 2 or 3 large single beds and each room has its own bathroom. Above all it's next to Plaça Catalunya, the city's main square around which all the main Barcelona attractions are located. And last, but not least, there is a caretaker in the building who is ready to help you with any problems, wishes, services, anything!

It’s in Muntaner Street, next to Plaça Catalunya. For more details see www.barcelonapoint.com/en/apartment/285/Group-Apartment-Muntaner-Plaza-Catalunya.html
