A day without wine is like a day without sunshine, or so the saying goes. While Been there would never endorse binge drinking, we're certainly partial to the odd glass of something fizzy, fruity, sweet or dry. Plus, we're a travel site and wine tourism has certainly caught on in a way that beer never has. So uncork, sit back and send us your wine tips - where to buy it, where to see it made and, of course, where to drink it.

Don't join the long line of people waiting to get in the Prado. If you are with your kids go to the Reina Sofia instead and see some marvellous contemporary and modern art paintings like Picasso's 'Guernica'.
After, go to the café/restaurant for some great food and of course a bottle of wine from the Ribera Del Duero region, superb.

    Wine tourism in Spain

Posted by Masmad 10 March 2008

Many people know Spain as a tourist destination.
Many people know Spanish wines. But nearly nobody enjoys wine tourism in Spain.

There are lots of wine regions and marvellous wineries to visit. The areas where wineries are located usually offer excellent food and at budget prices. The offer is enormous.

I suggest to have a look at www.turismodevino.com or www.winetourismspain.com
