    The Loft

Posted by lanners 13 July 2009

The Loft is a bar with very friendly staff and local and imported drinks. You can catch all sporting events on several TVs and play pool and make use of free Wi-Fi. Richard and daughter Jodie make for great staff and always made us welcome. Their 'shots' menu is pretty impressive too.

Paseo de Mediterraneo opposite the Cruz Rojo (red cross ambulance station) and in front of the post office on Mojacar Playa. The bar is on first floor with views overlooking the sea with palm trees.

    VIVA! Restaurant

Posted by lanners 13 July 2009

I lived in Mojacar for a short while and worked near to the restaurant. The food and ambience was always good and my family visited every time they came to Spain. Malcolm and Jayne made us really welcome. And Russ and Nick working in kitchen were very good. Cheesy garlic bread was divine and steaks done to your request.

On Paseo de Mediterraneo. Behind the Estanco Cantal on Plaza de Estrella.
    Nearest airport Almeria.

    Maui beachbar

Posted by feetinthesand 6 July 2009

It is still one of the most relaxed bars in Mojacar and the most unspoilt along the Spanish coast. Run by a great Spanish family from Jaen near Granada. They all work so hard! Kiko,Luis and their wives Eva and Maria always have a big smile for you.
They offer good music, good food, excellent wines and a stunning view to boot. We have also enjoyed some of the best beach parties there. Go see for yourself and enjoy.

    Cheriguito Maui (beachbar) Mojacar,
On Mojacar beach, nearly opposite Camping el Cantal, Good aparthotel opposite with reasonable prices.
Nearest airport is AlmeriaYou can call Eva at Maui on 0034 606198375. To be honest to do Spain on the cheap, just barter. Remember when you visit the tapas bars don't sit, stand at the bar and you will get charged far less.
