The Spanish way of life
Seville is a great city just to walk around. It has some lovely Moorish architecture and gardens (not as glorious as Granada, but much less crowded), squares with orange trees, bougainvillea against white walls in the Barrio Santa Cruz, a huge cathedral, a big river. Exciting festivals in the spring - Feria and Semana Santa.

And perhaps most of all, it has fantastic bars to eat tapas and drink fino and just get into the Spanish way of life. The climate is generally lovely, but it's pretty much too hot in August even to sleep, and it can get downright chilly and damp in December and January. Lots of good places nearby too, from Roman remains to beaches.
