    Patio de la Cartuja, Seville

Posted by gloskeith 13 April 2010

Patio de la Cartuja is an ideal base for exploring the magical city of Seville. It is an apart-hotel, which gives you more independence than a standard hotel room, and has a small kitchen. The apartment I stayed in had a huge sitting/dining room, and I particularly loved the comfortable bedroom, which was as big as mine at home. A beautiful inner courtyard has salmon pink walls contrasting with the rich greenery of plants hanging from balconies. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the centre of Seville, in a slightly downmarket area, but with great bars and the sound of guitars and the foot-stamping of flamenco emanating from open windows.
High-season price is €112 for a double apartment. I highly recommend both the hotel and the city.
