    White Sands Resort

Posted by juggyd 22 February 2009

During the day it is great as you are crawling distance from the beach. At night is gets a bit noisy because it is between the road and a pub with loud music. The cafe has decent food with awesome views. In fact more then once I had breakfast in the cafe as the waters of the ocean came right up to my ankles.

The bungalows are basic with great air con. Nice thing are the floors are easily swept to get rid of all the sand you bring in from the beach.

    Paradee Resort

Posted by Seaspray 8 August 2007

This luxury resort for couples is situated on a peninsula of Koh Samet, so making sunset and sunrise just a stroll apart. The photos on the official website have difficulty capturing the openness and simultaneous seclusion.

Beach Front Pool Villas, Numbers 101 & 102 have the best aspect and the resort has been designed around them. Book these in advance. Opening your eyes first-thing in the morning when staying at 101 gives the most amazing view of the bay. It gives the impression that you possess everything as far as your eyes can see.

Depending on budget this can be viewed as an expensive destination (search for online deals) .... but a shorter stay here will last in your memories and make for better photos than a long stay somewhere less special.

On your departure the owner and staff stop what they are doing, line-up on the jetty and give you a friendly send-off on the Paradee liveried speedboat back to the mainland. A very stylish final touch.
