Scottish Highlands
The untamed wilderness of the Highlands is ideal walking territory – wooded glens, a rugged coastline, dramatic peaks, majestic lochs and misty isles. The spectacular scenery is best washed down with a wee dram from one of the region’s fine distilleries. If you’re looking for a taste of the Highlands, browse tips on how best to explore it. Glen Torridon

Posted by MarionC 11 May 2007

The view of Loch Torridon and Skye are unbelieveble. The most beautiful view I've ever seen.

Take the A896 from Kinlochewe. At Sheildaig, take the tiny coast road to Applecross.
