Clockwork is a big club with a warehouse feel and has played host to some of the best dub, hip-hop, electro, jungle and drum & bass artists around such as Foreign Beggars, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Congo Natty and Easy Star All-Stars.

Friday nights see the back room at The Bear in Hotwells transformed into a first rate chin-stroking, riff-applauding jazz club. The venue is intimate so if you're sat at the front you're pretty much sat with the band. Proper.

By day it's full of straight-laced solicitors and accountants but by night it becomes a sweaty, smoky cavern pulsating to reggae and funk beats. The underground location adds to the atmosphere. Particularly good on weekends.
