    Visocchi's

Posted by Dogbertd 2 April 2007

Visocchi's is an institution in Dundee. The ice cream here (from an Italian family, naturally) is so good that locals will eat it in the height of winter, and there are queues outside when it's warm and sunny.

The restaurant is also first-rate, and they only shut when Italy are playing in the World Cup final.

Pub and guesthouse (hotel is a rather grand word for it) in Broughty Ferry, just outside Dundee.

Wonderful setting on the Tay - enjoy the spectacular sunsets from the end of the street or the pier. Real ale, rooms renovated in modern but cosy style. Good food. Excellent base for exploring Dundee and environs.

Posted by JohnERobertson 1 October 2006

There is easy parking, and a nice range of eating places here. Steak house, Chinese, and Indian food.

Harbour area, beside Tay Road Bridge.
