Family hiking in Cornwall
The only other picture we could find to illustrate 'UK family holidays' was four people stood in the rain in Eastbourne. It would be nice to think that this sunny image of a family hiking on the Lizard Peninsular in Cornwall was a bit nearer to the truth. From great hotels to city day trips and nature reserves, there are tips covering every aspect of the British isles for parents and children alike. But perhaps taking a brolly is a good idea.

I think parents shouldn't underestimate how much their kid absorbs at a festival, big or small! I got taken to Glastonbury at nine-years-old with a friend and for me it was the most surreal but memorable weekend of my life.

As a small person, every colourful character, smell, taste and sound was somewhat magical.
My friend and I liked to make up stories about the people we saw walking past - such a thieves, delinquents, rock stars etc - kids really have developed senses of humour by that age!. Oddly I am grateful of even the toilet memories too, plus tons of life experience to never forget - like developing a great par with the surrounding adults.

    Hereford United Football Club

Edgar Street, home of Hereford United, is a great day out. OK, so it's certainly not Old Trafford or the Emirates, but it shows true history as the team has grown and excelled in recent years as well as being the location of their famous FA Cup giant-killing of Newcastle United in 1972.

A day out watching Hereford United is great fun for the whole family and certainly doesn't cost as much as Premiership teams.
