Great restaurant, great food, good selection, excellent service, ice-cold draught Cobra (and bottled King Cobra), very good fixed price menu with good selection midweek. Book on Fridays and Saturdays.

I've tried them all locally and this is the best.

Fab veggie all you can eat buffet. Friendly staff, amazing food and great ambience. They have a novel means of ensuring the menu is always fresh and exciting - the first group to book a table get to pick the food for the evening. Hitchcocks has been a favourite haunt of ours for many years, and I've eaten everything from Nepali to Italian, Sri Lankan to Mexican - all delicious. And the deserts are to die for...

Great fish and chips - I believe the haddock is as good as anything I have eaten - huge portions, cheap specials on Wednesdays. Fresh fish (of course it being Hull), decent prices, an owner who provides (unknowing) free entertainment as he fries your food and....only 30 yards from my front door!
