    Whale Tail cafe

Posted by AliD 29 October 2007

Whale Tail cafe is a vegetarian cafe/restaurant that is a Lancaster institution and has been around for many years. Recently they have opened the doors in the evenings from Thurs-Sun. The food is fantastic, ambiance delightful and the prices are incredibly reasonable.

Superb vegetarian cafe/restaurant in the heart of town with secluded garden.

    The best veggie BLT ever!

Loads of great dishes, massive portions.

Creamy wild mushroom and brie bake - mmmm!

Set just back off the main street - down the alley and up the stairs

Its originality of recipes and high ingredient quality mark it out from the rest. The wonderful informal Bistro atmosphere enables one to enjoy a meal in comfort and quiet if necesary. It also has some good bottled beers.

It is on Penny Street; slap bang in the centre of Lancaster's pedestrian zone; 10 minutes walk from the station or the Duke's Theatre.
