Geisha Bar is a new cocktail bar in Soho. It has an excellent cocktail menu, good DJs and sound system, and a stylish interior. Its clientele is mostly gay, though I don't think a straight customer would feel uncomfortable.

Okay. Let me be frank. Club Rub is a fetish club. And before you all reach in horror for the computer mouse, it's not full of freaks and wierdos (although it's best to keep an open mind when delving into alternative entertainment). Held once a month on a Saturday in Houndsditch, London, it is a fetish event - max 400 people, featuring music, dancing, fetish fantasy, licensed bar and 'play' area. You can get tickets or pay on the door. There is a STRICT dress code. I mean S T R I C T! Leather, PVC, transvestite, latex rubber, that sorta thing - but absolutely no streetwear. Let your fantasy run wild. You HAVE to dress up - that's the point! The etiquette is simple - anything goes, but NO means NO.

What strikes you the moment you walk into the place, is the spectacle and friendliness. Oh, and the acceptance. You may be dressed as a transvestite priest but someone will always offer a friendly chat or an indecent proposal. A great place to give your sexual fantasies a free reign, or to just sit back and enjoy the carnival. All ages are welcome- it's attitude that counts, not grey pubic hairs. One thing I guarantee - Club Rub will spoil you for regular 'vanilla' clubs forever!

One of the best gay pubs in London. More laid-back than leering, with a nice mix of men and women. Tiny, which means lots of close-ups of people's backs/armpits/ears, but still great. Eclectic mix of eighties (think Stevie Nicks) and electro on the turntable. Follow the crowd to the Joiner's Arms down the road afterwards if you're still up for fun.

This cabaret event at Bistroteque in Bethnal Green is a scream. Hosted by cult cross-dresser Jonny Woo on a weekly basis, it’s kinda like a twisted pop idol, only without singing. Good night out, and the restaurant’s not bad either.

My partner and I have been together for over seven years, and we travel extensively to locations that are known to be gay-friendly. Each time we go, we create site-specific bingo cards for each other that add to the fun of our journey together. Each card contains 49 unique things for us to find. We cross these things off the card as we see them, and award each other prizes along the way.

To coincide with London's Pride events we have launched a new website, www.been-go.com, which allows others to generate their own personalised bingo cards, just like ours, for places around the world. Each visitor to the site can customise their card however they choose.

It’s not a gay-specific site, but one mouse click will make any card gay-themed (but never overtly rude). Someone visiting Mykonos, for example, might be asked to find a windmill and a rainbow beach towel or a visitor to New York could search for a bagel and an “unconvincing drag queen”. No two cards are the same.

It’s hosted by drag queen Jonny Woo (like Tranny Lip Synching) and is the best way I can think of to forget your Sunday night blues (even if it means getting a Monday morning hangover).
