I recently went on a horse riding break with Equestrian Escapes to Skipton, North Yorkshire. I went by myself so was a little nervous but the B&B I stayed in was superb, great hosts and the stables were fantastic! I could not recommend highly enough!

A really warm welcome in a well preserved, attractive and unspoilt village inn with a roaring fire, good selection of beers including an excellent Black Sheep, and filling meals at fair prices. Good anytime, but well earned bliss if youve just staggered round the three Yorkshire Peaks in under the twelve hours allowed for the 26 mile romp. The worrying tale at the bar is that the fastest fell runner came in at two hours 20 something minutes, but you should feel good just if you made it.
By the bridge in Horton in Ribbledale, and close enough to the station to get you there and back, and on the Pennine Way
A great winter walk, with long times without meeting other people, a classic ascent, and some stunning scenery.
B6160 to head of Littondale from A65, then 10 miles up valley to village of Litton.

A great walk with everything: country lanes, steep ascents, fantastic views from the top of the Ingleborough, a pub for lunch halfway, and a spectacular finale over Twistleton Scars and down the waterfall walks.
30 miles from Skipton on A65 towards M6, park at Ingelton
