    St Agnes, Isles of Scilly

Posted by Neverlander 1 August 2010

It's the most compact of the five inhabited isles and the least touristy of the five as it still retains a working character to it. You can easily walk around it in a day if taking it in as a trip from the other islands taking in the wildness of Wingletang down, the Horse head rock, Troytown maze and fit in lunch and afternoon tea at The Turks head pub, Cove Vean cafe or the Coastguards cafe.
Better still stay there and feel just that bit more away from the rest of the world. I stayed there on my first trip there in 1989 and still like it best of all the islands there especially due to seeing the new bird species I've seen there in 20 years of travelling there.
