This fantastic B&B is in the beautiful fishing village of Mevagissey on the south coast of Cornwall, perched on a hill overlooking the harbour.
We recently spent my 50th birthday there and believe it must be the best B&B in Cornwall!
The rooms are immaculate and beautifully furnished, oozing with quality and good taste. Breakfast was delicious and a very happy friendly affair. We sat on the most incredible patio sipping champagne with an awesome sea view stretching over 40 miles. There are car parking spaces too (do not stay anywhere without a car park in Mevagissey)!
Without question the best place I have ever visited.
A couple of fields overlooking the sea with tents already erected and complete with very comfy bedding, tea and coffee making facilities and wonderful breakfast brought to your tent each morning. Washing facilities are very civilised and the whole experience is an ideal introduction to camping for beginners. The best campsite I have ever been to!

Self-catering cottages near St Austell. Fantastic location with great grounds. Very close to Eden project and lost gardens of Heligan. All you could possibly need!
Found this amazing bed and breakfast on the English Retreats website (which is a pleasure to use).
Anchorage House is in St Austell, Cornwall. The standard of service, beautiful rooms and location blew us away.
I'd highly recommend English Retreats for quality accommodation and Anchorage House is superb.
Simply one of the best places to eat fresh, local seafood on the south coast of England. I had my favourite ever dish here, hake, caught that morning, cooked with cornish yarg. Delicious.

Last summer my family and I went down to Cornwall and my mum booked us on a sea kayaking and coasteering day at Porthpean Activity Centre (St. Austell).
They gave us wetsuits and life jackets to wear and then we walked through the village down to the beach where our kayaks were waiting for us.
We then kayaked along the coast for about half an hour. Then the instructors stopped us and said we could jump out and swim to the rocks. You could then climb up the rocks and jump off! My dad did it and said it was scary. I jumped in and swam around the boat. It was a bit scary as we saw a jellyfish near us and we were in deep water.
After this we kayaked onto a small beach where the instructors gave us snorkelling equipment and we swam out along the rocks until the water was about 10ft deep. I saw a huge dogfish and lots of other fish swimming around the rocks. It was amazing. We then kayaked on a bit further along the coast and landed on another beach for lunch.
The instructors were really good, they showed where to find crabs
and told us about the creatures on the beach.
After than we kayaked back to Porthpean, but my mum and sister got tired out and one of the instructors towed them back for some of the way. It was a brilliant day where I did things I had never done before.
(PS my mum said it was good value as it cost £19.00 for each of us)

The Eden Project is a place where there are plants and trees from all over the world. There are three gigantic domes that the plants are kept in - my favourite one is the tropical biome where it is like a jungle. At night the Eden Project looks amazing and normally has shows on. We saw fire dancers and Indian drummers. There are soundscapes that sound real, of lions, tigers and monkeys. They have activities to smell, touch, hear and see. So don't miss it!!!

Eden is open nearly every day of the year. Opening times vary. We visited Eden in summer when it was open late in the evening. www.edenproject.com
