A lovely little Mexican restaurant has just opened up at the bottom of my Nan's road. I took my girlfriend there last Friday and we had a great time. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed and the food was absolutely brilliant, I never knew chilli con carne could be so sexy.

    Boojum

Posted by jeslawson 7 July 2011

Cheap and tasty Mexcian fast food on Botanic Avenue. With excellent vegetarian and meat burritos, tacos (hard and soft) and salad bowls, nothing costs over £5 and is extremely filling and tasty. Be aware it can be very popular with the local students at peak times!

    Tex Mex II

Posted by Gingerred 7 December 2007

The best Mexican food I have eaten outside the States. The interior is bright and used authentic Mexican colours and the food is fab. I especially loved the carnitas which took me back home to Santa Fe. Worth a visit.

    Cafe Pacifico

Posted by AndyLucia 11 September 2006

The best mexican food in all of London. The restaurant has been here since 1982, so it must have something going for it!

I can recommend the chimichangas, especially washed down with a bottle (or two) of Dos Equis!

    Mr Wolf's

Posted by ourmaninbristol 16 August 2006

Late night bar with a combination of Chinese and Mexican on the menu. There's live music every night and open mic evenings. It's a place where Bristol bands from across the music spectrum come to play. Just beware the absinthe.

    The Mexican Place (TMP)

Posted by SpinDoctor 26 July 2006

The Mexican Place is one of my favourite Cheltenham restaurants. The food isn't gourmet, maybe even a little more fast foodish than anything else, but the service is good, portions large and atmosphere generally very good

    37 Winchombe Street (the road that dog-legs up to your right opposite the Regent Arcade's High Street exit). Very near the Odeon Cinema;

    The Blue Parrot Cantina

Posted by mattw 26 July 2006

It's not swish or swanky or in a prime location with stunning vistas of the city, but is nevertheless worth a visit. One of the city's first Mexican restaurants, it's still the finest. Obviously, it does great margaritas, and the food isn't bad either, but most important of all, the staff are friendly and the place unpretentious. In a Stockbridge basement, you'll even forgive the outdoor toilets such is the warmth of the reception.

    Basement Bar

Posted by AngryKoala 4 January 2006

A Mexican bar/restaurant found on Broughton Street. The food is pretty basic fare, but is a reasonable price and the restaurant is always busy. It's a great place to go for lunch or a light evening meal or even just some drinks with friends, with a good atmosphere and a great location.
    It's simple, but effective.
