    Cheap hotels and roulette test

Posted by eddyed 26 August 2007

This is something useful before travelling to Las Vegas, especially if you are going to play the roulette. Check out the first link for Las Vegas hotel rates and the second one for a free roulette test (it's a European roulette with single zero).

    Bellagio Hotel

Posted by Patricia Bowler 16 July 2007

My daughter and I stayed at the Bellagio Hotel in September 2006. At the time Oceans’ 13 was being filmed with Brad Pitt and George Clooney - what a lovely surprise.

The Hotel is magnificent and we had a beautiful lakeside room overlooking the fountains - so we not only saw them all the time, we could also put the TV on and listen to the music while enjoying a glass of wine. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Will be staying there again

    Bellagio Hotel

    Posted by escape2sun 26 April 2007

We booked the hotel on the hotel's webpage, far cheaper than going via an agent. Look for the special rates, we got a room for US$129 Mon-Thurs, and US$159 for the Sunday. I mentioned that it was a wedding anniversary and got a room upgrade to a fountain view, and free gifts for both of us. The room was fabulous. The resturants are over priced, and the coffee shop where the chocolate fountain is was grossly over priced and very weak.

    Imperial Palace Hotel

Posted by mrsdjm 7 February 2007

Best location on the strip. Directly across the road from the Mirage and the Bellagio and next to the Flamingo. It is excellent value for money.

    Hotel Booking

    Posted by maac56 31 December 2006

Book your hotel room directly with your casino as far ahead as possible.

Check their cancellation policy and you will find that most of the hotels give a full refund on cancellations.

By doing this you will be able to pick and choose a different hotel closer to your arrival time to see if you can get a better deal.

If you are not able to get a better deal, you already have your previous booking made many months before you travel.

I have used this tip and I have, on a number of occasions got better deals.

Go directly to the casino websites to make your booking.

    Luxor Hotel

Posted by jimbovegas 17 December 2006

For Vegas virgins you can't beat the drama of walking into the vast pyramid atrium on arrival. It's remarkably good value, on the strip and the tower suites are spacious with a fridge and wet bar (rare and great if you're with a group and want to start the night off cheaply). The Pharoah's Feast Breakfast Buffet is of a much higher quality than those in other hotels and sets you up nicely for the day.

    The Golden Nugget Hotel

Posted by mrsmeyer 15 December 2006

We were recently married in Las Vegas and chose to stay at the Golden Nugget as we wanted to be away from the strip, and also its advertised rates were very reasonable.

This downtown hotel is off strip in 'old' Vegas, it was built in the 1940s and was an old hang out of the Rat Pack. Unlike many of the glitzy hotels on the strip it is fabulous inside as well as out - gold and glass everywhere, murano glass in the bar. And since a recent refit it also boasts a huge shark tank in the centre of its swimming pool.

Handily for us, it is also the closest inhabitable structure to Clark County's Marriage Bureau and License Office...

For some 'old' Vegas glamour, you can't really go wrong at the Golden Nugget.

Accordion music, fountains and a cheery greeting of “Bonjour” from the hotel staff greet you as you head towards the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas.

The tower is not quite as tall as the original, in fact it is exactly half the size, however it has been reproduced with a superb eye for detail. An elevator whisks you to the observation deck, 460 feet above the Strip where there are fantastic views across Vegas, taking in a 360 degree panorama that includes the Strip, the city and the mountains in the distance and, in the evening, wonderful views across to the Bellagio fountain display.

The observation deck is quite small (holding about 30 to 40 people at a time) so you may have to queue to get in and, needless to say, it is not for those at all nervous of heights.

Cost of entry was approximately 12 dollars each when we visited. A little pricey maybe but worth it for the views

    The Hard Rock Hotel

Posted by rowerovers 16 June 2006

The coolest place to stay in Las Vegas. Great pool with bars that you can swim up to and card tables. The pool has sand beaches and four poster beds at the edge of the water. Live bands, good food.

    The Luxor

    Posted by jets57 2 March 2006

It may not be as swish as the The Mirage or the Venetian, but The Luxor is a good cheaper option. It's housed in a huge glass pyramid, topped by a light that can be seen from outer space. The pyramid is hollow, which means there's an impressive amount of space when you look up. Try and get a room on the top floors of the pyramid facing the Strip. The view as the lights of Vegas turn on is brilliant.
