Prepare to be dazzled

Philly is a fantastic place to live and a great place to visit. It's ethnically diverse, friendly and there's always lots to do.
Philadelphia is much friendlier and easier to navigate than Boston. It has a lot of the same energy as NYC or Chicago, but is of a more manageable size. A great music scene, tons of museums, fantastic restaurants, loads of parks, galleries, bar, open air concerts and the shopping is improving too.
It's also a quick train ride from New York, so definitely merits consideration as a jumping-off point for an American getaway.
There's loads of lodging, ranging from bed and breakfasts to world class hotels in the Rittenhouse Square area, right in Center City - the whole of the city radiates from that point.
The world of Philly is your dazzling, music-filled oyster.
