Le PUB is a fantastic bar serving reasonably priced food right in the middle of the old quarter. The staff are very good and there is even free wifi. The place attracts a good mix of locals, tourists and expats and the music is superb. The tables outside allow fantastic people watching.

I don't even like coffee, but I couldn't get enough of this stuff. The beans are grown in the central highlands and the rich brew itself is best served with a dab of evaporated milk.

In Hanoi, seek out the little cafe by the east side of Hoan Kiem Lake, settle down with a paper and watch the world go by. It's amazing that distributors Vinacafe aren't yet out to conquer the world.
