If you can, try and find a restaurant run by a girl called Queen Elizabeth (named this because she can speak the Queen’s English and some other languages), this is situated in the restaurant area near Bayon temple, ask a Khmer and they’ll know her. She’s a ten year old who not only manages her mum’s restaurant which serves very good Khmer fare, but also speaks around six languages. It’s a great place to have a break from sightseeing and a natter with Queen Elizabeth.
