There are two excellent fish shops on Stroeget; one at the Noerreport end, which has good variety and reasonable prices, the other at the other end near the canal, rather more expensive, less variety, but with a sushi bar.

Sadly the latter fish shop cum sushi bar (on Hojbro Plads) closed in Autumn 2006. Get your fresh fish from the fishseller on Gammel Strand on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This lone fish lady is the last of her kind and once she retires, only the fish seller's statue will remain to mark this once bustling fish market.
