Do not bother with the Alef. You will find the food bland and the service surly. An excellent trio - The Saints - saved the evening.
If you want Jewish food, try one of the others around the square.

If you want a pleasant evening avoid this cold place with its whispering, offhand waiters and poor food (oven chips!). We went for the promised live music but the waiter failed to advise us the musicians hadn't turned up.
