It also has a wonderful outdoor swimming pool.

Just outside Nyon station is the start of the railway into the Jura mountains. Leaving every hour, this goes to the ski resort of St Cergues and then on to La Cure.

In the summer there are lovely walks, we stopped at La Girvine (near the end) where there were a dozen or more signed walks. We walked back to St Cergue, an easy downhill walk of around three miles, through meadows with cows cow bells and swiss chalets. Bliss!
