The Cathedral in Bruges is, even to the most secular visitor, the most magical, mystical gothic building in Europe.
You've got to be joking? The current cathedral in Bruges/Brugge is Sint-Salvatorskathedraal. It is quite pleasant, but totally unremarkable. I suspect that 99/100 tourists would struggle to know the name. You may be referring to the Basilica of the Holy Blood, which was only built in the late nineteenth century in late-Gothic style, but is hardly a memorable example of that style.Send your feedback or queries to been.there@guardian.co.uk
