Part of the walk forms the Southern Walkway (see www.feelinggreat.co.nz/facilities-and-venues/walkways-and-tracks/189-explore-wellington-southern-walkway), you get a map from this link or from the Visitor Centre. It's an enjoyable (if sometimes steep!) walk, and well worth the effort. Take plenty of water on a hot day!
