Avoid krackow-apartments.com, their apartments are located in buildings that can be easily accessed from the streets and one of our group was seriously assaulted with mace/pepper spray and mugged in the hallway of our apartment building. On complaint to krackow-apartments.com they didn't bother to reply for a whole week.

I was attacked the same on the early hours of Sunday 29th September 2007 in Apartment Grand Street Stradomska 15/1.
I was approached outside the apartment and (luckily for me) looked away as I said I don't understand, sorry, in Polski. I quickly opened the communal door and ran up the stairs. He kicked the communal door in and ran after me. I had managed to open the apartment door by the time he caught up with me, but it was too late for me to go inside, so I turned to fight. He raised his arm and fired pepperspray in my face. I told him what I thought of him (w@nker) and shouted for my friend to help (who was fast asleep from the vodka from a friend's wedding we had been to earlier).
Next day, Cracow apartments representatives came round as someone had reported I had a party and there was screaming and shouting and a door smashed! To rub salt into a wound! Tip.... I have since discovered pepperspray is legal in Polska, so buy some as I will from now on. Tip 2, if attacked, pour milk into your eyes to relieve the pain.
