I stayed here last September and will definitely go back. The owners are British and good for a laugh. The rooms were all spotlessly clean and each had en suite bathrooms. It's more like a hotel but with hostel prices. The pool and patio area is a major bonus, great for lounging around or to cool off after a day exploring. Use this place as a base for exploring the islands and Split, as a stop over, or even as a short break hotel.

I agree we just stayed at Kamena Lodge and the owners are really passionate about independent travel and Split and what it has to offer. Stay here and go on the great value trips to the Krka Waterfalls. We had an amazing three nights there, add to that a fab BBQ and brilliant breakfasts it was the icing on the cake of our trip!

The house was amazing: always clean, very functional, we could use it as if it was our own and the pool and the pets (Larry, Fran and Fleka) were a very good addition to make my holidays perfect!
