Jungleway is a delightful place hidden in the Jungle on Koh Chang. For a chance to get away from the frenetic pace of White Sands it is perfect. Great place to lie in a hammock and read, they have a great selection of books there. The accommodation is in bamboo huts and the restaurant is large and very comfortable. The food is superb, all cooked by Lek's Mum, who will also give you tips if you ask her nicely! Lek and Sasha have the ideal little hideaway, just look them up and see what I am talking about. I had a great time, a really good rest and can't recommend them highly enough! Lek also does brilliant jungle treks, which I was too lazy to do, but heard from others were great, he can also arrange elephant trekking, as there is an elephant camp minutes from Jungleway.
ENCROACHMENT! - Please note that there is no provision for public access to the jungle on Koh Chang as it is part of the National Park nature reserve.
There have been resorts and other businesses that operate without legal consent or have encroached on the National Park area.
Any tours into the jungle are made without proper precautions to safeguard the eco-systems there and taking part on these tours is potentially damaging to the very thing one has come to enjoy.
Corruption and backhanders are destroying the ecology of Koh Chang - try not to support this - however unwittingly.
