Excellent, friendly restaurant serving traditional, delicious Portuguese fare.
Reasonably priced food and an excellent wine list to boot.
The fish is particularly good and the customary cheeses and meats to start are the best I've tasted in Lisbon (especially the Queijo de Azetao).
Travessa de Queimada, Bairro Alto
The restaurant has great food but the service is awful. The staff are often rude and discourteous, often preying on tourists to upsell them to more expensive dishes. Sinal Vermalho is much better.
The worst service of my life. Upon learning about our displeasure at their aggressive attempts to hustle us into spending as much money as possible (this is just another tourist place in Barrio Alto), the owner threw us out of the restaurant and even ordered a waiter to get physical with us ... and we are three women. I have never experienced anything like this restaurant. Truly awful.
