    Cycling in St Petersburg

    Posted by timur2000 18 July 2010

St. Petersburg is surprisingly easy to get around in on a bike (and nobody minds if you cycle on the sidewalks). Cycling along the Neva in the light rain on a white night is something I'll never forget. Nearby destinations like Pushkin are full of nice trails. It's a great way to beat the crowds in the summer.

Viktor can tell you all about St Petersburg. He took me and a friend on a nice three hour tour on a cool summer evening. It's really worth it to see all the spots you wanted to see, while enjoying a bike ride at the same time, including the ones located on the fringes of the city center - places which otherwise would have been a long walk/public transport ride. Besides it's a very flexible concept, tour gets personalised on request. A unique offer I'd say.
