One of the best views in Rome is from the Pincio, above Santa Maria del Popolo, which has two magnificent Caravaggios, including the Crucifixion of St Peter and Conversion of St Paul.
South west of the Villa Borghese, above Piazza del Popolo.
You can walk along from there to the Spanish Steps and it can be nice in the spring. The greatest view is probably the Janiculum Hill from Onofrio along to Trastevere. Quite amazing.Send your feedback or queries to been.there@guardian.co.uk
