My husband and I did two bicycle tours of St Petersburg with Viktor and couldn't have been happier. We went out to Pushkin and saw everything EXCEPT Catherine's palace - fantastic gardens, bushland, history and then a city tour of St P the next day. It was great riding and exciting to ride the roads and footpaths of St P. Viktor also knows his stuff and can answer all your questions, great English.

We visited StP for four days in early June and contacted Viktor just prior to check whether he still did his tours (vicalex33@yahoo.com). He does! And it was an excellent day out in the city. He knows StP like the back of his hand and takes you to places that you can't really access by public transport. We really enjoyed cycling past the communist monuments (lots of lennin!), the blue Smolny cathedral, the surrealistic sphynxes on the water front and riding around the Peter and Paul fortress. I'm a nervous cyclist, but Viktor makes it all feel safe and very enjoyable. He'll also introduce you to Russian malt drinks and accorn toothpaste (we ran out!) and signpost you to an excellent dumpling restaurant at the end. It was a brilliant orientation to StP and will also cure any hangover! Viktor's commentary is also spot on. Recommended.
