The other great fish and chip place that starts with a B. Not as good as Burdocks, but superior to any of the usual fast food outlets. There is a very nice branch in Howth, but for most visitors the most accessible is the O'Connell Street branch. There is a great view of the street from the seating area on the first floor.

Don't agree about Burdocks, mainly because they fry in beef dripping (lard) - yeuch! There is no fish and chips takeaway in Dublin anywhere near the standard of the many gourmet ones in, say, London (who all fry in groundnut oil.) Of all of them, Beshoffs do an OK job - they fry in groundnut oil and use nice tasting fresh fish and chunky homemade chips - is this too much to ask for? Better than Burdocks, which uses animal fat - yeuch! Beshoffs use groundnut oil which is what i would expect from a quality fish n chip shop.
