An excellent and famous jazz bar. Sunday night is particularly enjoyable as musicians are invited to drop in and take part.

We had a good time in Bangkok. The last night, we went to Brown Sugar, as my wife love the jazz music. The music for us was too sluggishly - the drummer and signer both out of tune. That was really a weird band. Brown sugar - WOEFUL local jazz bank. We came by there in this Jan. This is not a good jazz place. The music is bad. Look, the jazz isn't exactly Ornette Coleman but the house bands are pretty good and the Thai clientele very friendly. I thoroughly recommend Brown Sugar as a fun venue with cheap food, live music and lots of dancing.
