Arrange a private tour through your hotel if you want to see the grand palace or canals. It might cost a bit more but it will be just your small group and the tour guide, rather than a group of 100 other tourists. We had an amazing day out and learnt a great deal. When you see the coach loads of people turning up and being dragged around, you wonder how much they can actually hear.
