Reckoned to be the place to eat Mughal and north-west frontier cuisine in Delhi. Plates of dhal and kebabs served on low tables where famously Bill Clinton once gorged himself silly. With drinks, there is not much change from Rs 2,500.

The restaurant is so popular that it will not take lunch reservations for after 1pm, or dinner reservations after 8pm. After those time it is first come first served. They still offer the Clinton Platter, which is a sampler of their best meat dishes and excellent value as it comfortably feeds 3. The only dish missing from the platter is the Jhinga (Prawns) which are worth ordering as an extra. For vegetarians they offer the Chelsea Platter.Send your feedback or queries to been.there@guardian.co.uk
