Some people are a little nervous of the subway, thanks to the terrible reputation it previously had for crime and vandalism. Thankfully, times have changed, and the subway is not only a cheap and efficient way to get around the city, it's a great way to experience the 'real' New York.

No way! The subway isn't a tourist attraction, it's how I and hundreds of thousands of others get to work and get home every day. Sure stop by to see infrastructure in action and go home to dream of getting some yourselves. Ha! Not with the current government. And not with ours in NYC either. We've been dreaming of a 2nd Ave subway for years.
