It's a bar, restaurant and cocktail place. A bit of urban Catalan sophistication in Brighton. Friendly staff, funky dark interior and great little "pincho" snacks to go with the Cruzcampo beer. It's my new local (when I'm feeling continental). I've not eaten in the restaurant, but if the bar snacks are anything to go by it must be good.

If you like the tapas on the ground floor the restaurant upstairs will blow you away. It's a really sexy glam venue, staffed by really friendly, lovely people. Great combination. The food is outstanding - try the octopus for a treat, and the drinks are better that most I've tried in London. Well worth a visit.

Have to say my experience of the restauarant was that it was massively overpriced with very bland food (small portions, but guess that's the modern part of the deal). One of my worst restaurant experiences of recent years, I can only assume some of the publicity comments (it gets a lot of publicity in local papers) are coming from the management or friends!

Disappointing service on a recent visit - needs to sort out the waiting staff.

Can't but agree with the earlier critiques.

After ordering a fixed-price selection of tapas our bill came to more than we were quoted beforehand.

The food is not even that good and the wine list is outrageous.

Also, the lighting is so "low key", that it's hard to read the menu, let alone see what you're eating.

Finally, pretty annoyingly, for a party of seven, they served the standard size portions, i.e. 4 pieces of whatever. Insensitive and lazy.
