Novi Sad is 80km north-west of Belgrade. You can catch a bus from there, and some companies run regular car services from Belgrade Airport.

It's not comprehensive by any means, so let me know if you think I have left anything out. The main thing to know is that Serbia can be a bit crazy, but its also one of the safest, friendliest places you can imagine!

Novi Sad during the Exit 2007 was filled with British people, over 10,000 of them! I've seen so many mates from school, I can't believe it. Still it was a very nice experience, the city is unbelievably cool, very cheap. My trip was organized by myself (booked early flight to Budapest), but I booked an apartment over www.premier-nekretnine.com, they rent apartments to exit-goers for the 4 day period of the festival. The food is fantastic and just can't wait to come back in 2008, I'll maybe even come a couple of days earlier, before the Exit hectic starts! Gotta Love Serbia!! Whatever you do, don't book with Vamos travel - my girlfriend did last year and they cancelled her booking about 2 months before the festival >¬(
