This park is a great base for walking up to the top of Arthurs Seat and Salisbury Crags. It is a relaxing place for picnics and walks.
Holyrood Park lies behind Holyrood House at the end of Horsewynd and Queens Drive.
Arthurs Seat (the highest point in the park) may look daunting but a stone-stepped path up the front (as approached from the centre of Edinburgh) means the climb isn't hard (although the final bit to the very top may involve a little scrambling). The panoramic views of Edinburgh are well worth the effort.Send your feedback or queries to been.there@guardian.co.uk
